The 4th Yerevan International Ballet Festival Kicked Off
The 4th Yerevan International Ballet Festival has kicked off in Tumanyan Park. Established in 2023 at the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the festival has gained international recognition and attracted strong public interest over the years.
Yesterday, the world premiere of the ballet "Tamar", choreographed by renowned ballet master Ilya Zhivoi, took place. The music for the ballet, inspired by the legend of "Akhtamar", was composed by Valeri Tolstov, a composer living in Switzerland.
Audiences can catch another performance of "Tamar" on June 3, while the ballet-oratorio "Sasuntsi Davit" will take the stage on June 5 and 6.
