The Yerevan International Ballet Festival took place in Tumanyan Park from June 2 to 6. The first two days featured the world premiere of “Tamar”, a ballet choreographed by internationally acclaimed ballet master Ilya Zhivoy and performed by the ballet artists from the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan. The festival ended with a performance of the ballet-oratorio “Sasuntsi Davit”. The performance also involved approximately 400 students from municipal music and art schools, as well as the ethno-electro band Hogh Artun, which composed the music.
