Programs Discussed During This Week’s Work Meeting
The construction of the sports school named after Albert Azaryan is ongoing. Interior finishing work has already begun in several sections of the building, while cladding and thermal insulation works are also underway. The next phase will involve the technical outfitting and furnishing of the sports school.
All tenders for the construction of the road link connecting Isakov and Arshakunyats avenues have been finalized, and the corresponding contracts have been signed. In the near future, technical equipment and workforce resources will be mobilized, after which earthworks will commence.
Major road reconstruction works continue across the capital. Road reconstruction has also commenced on the road section extending from the intersection of Arin Berd Street and Artsakh Avenue to Arin Berd 5th Lane in the Erebuni administrative district.
In total, 8,063 commercial objects have been registered in the GIS system, 1,576 of which have already been integrated into the electronic trade and service licenses platform, dimum.yerevan.am.
Armenia is a member of the “Europa Donna” European Breast Cancer Coalition. In cooperation with the coalition, the Yerevan Municipality has implemented early detection and public awareness programs focused on breast cancer prevention and diagnosis. Conferences and informational meetings aimed at promoting early detection have been organized. As a result of these initiatives, the disease has been identified at an early stage in many patients, leading to successful treatment and full recovery in a significant number of cases.
According to data received from 190 air quality monitoring stations installed at construction sites across Yerevan, average air quality index (AQI) readings recorded in April remained within the “good” and “moderate” ranges. The primary factors influencing air quality were largely not caused by human activity and are mainly driven by climatic and natural conditions.
As part of the cooperation between the Yerevan Municipality and the NGO “Mental Health Awareness Initiative,” a “Hope Garden” has been established in Yerevan’s Kentron administrative district within the framework of the Yellow Tulip Project. The initiative aims to raise public awareness of mental health issues and help overcome them.
In Yerevan, 97 administrative violations related to illegal construction and the unauthorized occupation of public land have been recorded, along with 31 violations of land use regulations, 122 violations concerning construction site conditions, and 12 cases involving the operation of buildings without permits. To dismantle illegal constructions and reclaim unlawfully occupied land, 68 unauthorized structures have been dismantled.
