Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of opening of the first Europe martial arts championship of the deaf. On October 26-31 in the competitions of judo, karate and taekwondo hed for the first time 187 sportsmen form 17 countries take part.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the Union of the Deaf of Armenia, took part in the ceremony of opening of the Center for Online Support of the Deaf. This center opened with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality will make it possible for 650 deaf people to communicate and get necessary assistance by means of video equipment working 24 hours.

In the period from October 16to 22 37.578 citizens visited the municipal out-patient clinics. In the same period 469 babies-262 boys and 207 girls were born in the capital.

Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of opening of the newly built block of flats at Sisakyan 16 in Ajapnyak district of the capital. 100 families living for years in the dormitory buildings at Sisakyan3, Nor Aresh 35 street, N 127/1 and Artsakh str, lane N 10/2 have become owners of new comfortable flats.

During the weekly working meeting in Yerevan City Hall it was reported that 4 cases of illegal construction and land occupation had been revealed the previous week, in 2 cases the construction was dismantled.

The museum-memorial of the writer, publicist laureate of the USSR State Prize Mushegh Galshoyan built at the initiative of the RA Prime Minister Andtanik Margaryan in Katnaghbyur village of Aragatsotn marz. This year the United Nations Organization marks its 70th anniversary. Within the frames of the jubilee events organized in numerous countries-members of the UNO an action was organized in Yerevan as well. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the solemn event. 

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the members of his family was present at the first show of the film dedicated to the life and activity of the writer, publicist Mushegh Galshoyan at the “Moskva” cinema. The film dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Armenian intellectual is mainly founded on the essays about Mushegh Galshoyan and the recollections of his colleagues about him.
