A protocol of cooperation and friendship was signed with the city of Athens in November 2002, which aimed at the development of cooperation between the two cities in economic, social and cultural sectors.

On October 29, 2014, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Amman within the delegation headed by the RA President Serzh Sargsyan. During the visit the Treaty on Sisterhood was signed between Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Yerevan, the capital of the Republic of Armenia. The parties are to cooperate in the spheres of social welfare, culture, tourism, sport, nature protection and other spheres.
On April 23-26, 2015 at the behest of Yerevan Mayor T. Margaryan, the delegation headed by the Mayor of Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, A. Biltaji viited Yerevan to take part in the event dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial.

At the behest of Antony(France) Mayor Jean-Ives Senant from September 10 to 14, the delegation of Davtashen administrative district of Yerevan headed by the leader of the district visited the city to sign the protocol on sisterhood between Davtashen district of Yerevan and Antony (France) as well as to take part in «Wine and cheese fair» event.
At the behest of the head of Davtashen district to take part in «Erebuni-Yerevan 2797» celebration and to sign the Armenian version of the protocol on sisterhood the delegation of Antony headed by its Mayor arrived in Yerevan.Within the framework of the cooperation between Davtashen disctrict of Yerevan and the town of Antony, France, on October 21-25, 2016 a masterclass “Secrets of French cuisine” was organized at Yerevan n1 State Vocational School for its 20 students.
On October 20-24, 2018 the delegation of Antony took part in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2800” celebration. -

The cooperation between Yerevan and Beirut started in 1997. On October 20 of the same year the agreement “On friendship and cooperation between Yerevan city of the RA and Beirut city of the Republic of Lebanon” was signed in Yerevan.
Following the principles of the agreement, on September 28, 2000 the agreement on cooperation and twinning between Beirut and Yerevan was signed. In 2000, within the frames of Beirut Mayor’s visit to Yerevan, one of the streets in Yerevan was named Beirut street, and in the spring of 2004, within the frames of Yerevan Mayor’s visit to Beirut, one of the local streets was named Yerevan street.
On April 21-23, 2012 the delegation of Beirut headed by the Mayor of the city participated in “Yerevan-World Book Capital 2012” event. In 2010-2014 the delegation of Beirut Municipality took part in “Erebuni-Yerevan” celebrations. -

On May 18th 2000 the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Vardan Oskanyan and the Leader of Buenos Aires City Government Enrique Oliveira signed a Friendship and Cooperation Treaty between Yerevan /Armenia/ and Buenos Aires /Argentina/.
According to the signed Agreement, Yerevan and Buenos Aires were officially declared sister-cities.On April 21-23, 2012 the delegation of Buenos-Aires headed by its Mayor Mauricio Macri visited Yerevan to take part in «Yerevan-World Book Capital 2012» event.

From March 8 to 10, 2013, at the behest of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the delegation headed by Mayor of Bucharest S.Opresku arrived in Yerevan to discuss the issues about bilateral cooperation. During the visit the Protocol of Intentions was signed.
In accordance with the agreement achieved between Yerevan Mayor and Bucharest Mayor, 46 pupils of Yerevan schools went to Costineşti camp in Bucharest on July 10-17,2013.
The delegation of Bucharest took part in the conference of the capitals members of the EU organized in Yerevan in autumn of 2013 and in the celebration of “Erebuni-Yerevan”. -

The cooperation between Yerevan and Bratislava started on April 28, 2000, when the agreement on establishing brotherly relations was singed in Yerevan. The agreement stipulates cooperation with the purpose of exchange of experience of local governance and corresponding specialists, cooperation in cultural, sports, education, nature protection and health care sectors, as well as fostering economic ties and research of opportunities for establishing joint ventures through reciprocal visits of businessmen.

In 2010, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Kentron administrative districts and Glendale city. On June 26,2013 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan hosted the member of Glendale Town Council Zareh Sinanyan. On April 21,2015 the meeting with the member of Glendale Town Council Alin Givens was held. During the meeting Yerevan Mayor was handed in the declaration of recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Glendale Town Council. On January 29,2015 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan hosted the Mayor of Glendale Ara Najarian. On July 8,2016 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan hosted the member of Glendale Town Council Vardan Karapetian.
In October 2017, the delegation headed by the Mayor of Glendale Vardan Karapetian arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2099” celebration. During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Kentron administrative district of Yerevan and Glendale. -

A cooperation agreement between Yerevan and Rostov-on-Don was signed on April 20, 2004. Main directions of the cooperation were defined in the agreement: trade and economic, cultural, tourism, sports, exchange of creative groups etc. A cooperation agreement between chambers of commerce and industry of Yerevan and Rostov region was signed during the visit.
An agreement of declaration of Yerevan and Rostov-on-Don sister cities was signed on October 9, 2005 in Yerevan, and a memorial complex immortalizing the memory of fallen Cossacks was opened in the community Kanaqer-Zeytun
A program of trade and economic, scientific and technical, and cultural cooperation for 2006-2008 was signed between Yerevan Municipality and the administration of Rostov-on-Don in July 2006 in Rostov-on-Don.
On September 18-20, 2015 at the behest of the head of Rostov-on-Don administration Sergey Gorban Yerevan delegation headed by Deputy Mayor of Yerevan David Ohanyan visited Rostov-on-Don where participated in the festive events and an official reception dedicated to the 266th anniversary of the city foundation. During the visit a meeting with the head of Rostov-on-Don administration Sergey Gorban was held. Yerevan delegation also visited the General Consulate of Armenia in Rostov-on-Don, the museum of Russian-Armenian friendship, the Armenian church Surb Harutyun and met with the representatives of the local Armenian community.
In the recent years mutual visits at different levels were organized.
On October 15-17, 2015 the delegation of Rostov-on-Don headed by the head of the city administration Sergey Gorban was in Yerevan with the aim of discussion of the issues of bilateral cooperation.
During the visit the program of cooperation between Yerevan and Rostov-on-Don municipalities provided for 2015-2020 was signed. -

In 2002 the Mayor of Draguignan commune Max Piselli and the head of Malatia Sebastia community Aghvan Grigoryan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. On March 17,2017 the Charter of Friendship was signed between Malatia Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan and Draguignan commune. The document was signed by the deputy head of Malatia Sebastia district Valery Manvelyan and the Mayor of Draguignan commune Richard Strambio. The Charter of Friendship provides for development of bilateral cooperation and friendly ties in the spheres of mutual interest, particularly in the sphere of culture, social welfare,economics, sport and tourism.
In October 2017, the delegation of Draguignan commune participated in “Erebuni-Yerevan” celebration.

The agreement "On establishment of friendly relations between the cities of Yerevan and Tbilisi" was signed between Yerevan and Tbilisi on June 4th 1996. The "Agreement between the Fond for Saving Culture Values of the Municipality of Tbilisi and the Department of Culture, Youth Affairs and Sport of the City Hall of Yerevan" was signed on April 4th 2003 in Yerevan.
There are active relations with the Municipality of Tbilisi in the direction of experience exchange, as well as within the framework of cooperation with European structures.
The official visit of the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan to Tbilisi took place on June 10-12, 2011.
On December 14-16, 2013 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor was in the capital of Gerogia to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation. During the visit the sqare after Yerevan was opened in the center of Tbilisi.
The delegations of the cities periodically participate in the celebrations of Yerevan and Tbilisi days. -

n October 2010 the Deputy Chair of Ile- de- France Regional Council Ph. Kaltenbach arrived in Yerevan to participate in the first conference of Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation.
On April 25-28 2011, within the frames of the official visit of the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan to Paris, an official meeting with the Deputy Chairman of Ile de France District Council was held as well. Within the scope of the visit an Association Agreement was signed between Yerevan and the District Council of Ile de France, according to which the main spheres are culture and Francophonie, tourism and heritage, territorial improvement and public transport regulation, education and youth mobility.
On July 23-28, 2011 the delegation of Ile-de-France Regional Council included the deputy General Manager for development services Suzanne Srodogora, the deputy General Manager for international and European relations Jean-Noel Baleo and the Secretary General of Ile-de-France Regional Council Jean Didier.
On October 12-16, 2011 the delegation headed by the Deputy Chair of Ile-de-France Regional Council, Mayor and Senator of Clamart Ph. Kaltenbach arrived in Yerevan. Within the scope of the visit a meeting with Yerevan Mayor was held during which the issues related to tourism, culture and economic cooperation development were discussed.
On January 23, 2012 an Annex to the cooperation agreement was signed between Yerevan and Ile-de-France Regional Council related to the mission and functional liabilities of Ile-de-France region at Yerevan Municipality. Within the frames of the cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and Ile-de-France Regional Council, jointly with G2iA inter-professional international Armenian group a seminar “Business urban development” was organized on September 18-21, 2012.
On October 12-19, 2012 the person in charge for the international cooperation of the territorial tourism committee and the expert architect heritage issues visited Yerevan. The meetings with the persons in charge for the spheres of tourism and culture were held and the issues related to the cooperation were discussed during the visit.
On the behest of the deputy Manager General of Ile-de-France Regional Council for European and International issues Jean-Noel Baleo and Paris Municipality international advisor, general delegate for international relations Bernard Pinerol, Yerevan delegation was in Paris on February 11-16, 2014 to discuss the issues related to bilateral cooperation with Ile-de-France, Paris and AIMF.
Within the scope of the cooperation of Yerevan Municipality and Ile-de-France Regional Council, jointly with the inter-professional international Armenian group G2iA and the RA State Academy of Management, on April 28-30, 2014 a three-day seminar was held on the theme Project Management: Initiation and Preliminary Planning of a Project at the RA State Academy of Management.
Within the frames of the cooperation between the Municipality of Yerevan and the regional Council of Ile-de-France, jointly with the International Armenian Professional Group /G2IA/ and the RA State management Academy a seminar the theme of which was “Experience exchange in condominium management” was organized on June 11, 2014, and on November 4 and 5 a seminar called “Local duties in the context of French taxes: display and experience exchange” was held.
On May 27, 2015 the conference called “100 years have passed since the Armenian Genocide and what is the situation now? Genocide and its denial in Europe” was organized by the Regional Council of Ile-de-France and the European Grassrooots Antiracist Movement (EGAM). The representative of the Municipality of Yerevan also took part in the conference.
The Deputy Chairman of Ile-de-France Regional Council Roberto Romero, the EGAN President Benjamen Abta, the UGAB-Europe President Alexis Govsyan made speeches at the opening ceremony. The representative of Yerevan Municipality took part in the conference at the behest of the President of Ile-de-France Regional Council Jean-Paul Huchon. Yervan Mayor’s address was read during the event.The conference was finished with the show of 4 films dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
On October 16-17, 2018, within the frames of the visit to Paris with the aim of participation in “TUMO-Paris opening event, Yerevan Mayor met with the President of Ile-de-France Regional Council Madam Valerie Pecresse. The issues related to entrepreneurship, education, culture and urban economy were discussed during the meting.
On November 17-20, at the behest of Yerevan mayor, the delegation headed by the President of Ile-de-France Regional Council Valerie Pecresse arrived in Yerevan. The delegation included officials of the Council, representatives of the Armenian community associations, sphere of economy, entrepreneurs.
Within the scope of the visit the road map for 2018-2021 was signed between Yerevan and Ile-de-France. A number of visits, meetings and discussions particularly related to agriculture, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, new technologies and startups were organized.
From January 28 till February 3, 2019 the delegation of experts of Ile de France region (fields-waste removal, transport, urbanism) was in Yerevan. -

A protocol of cooperation and exchange between Yerevan and Lyon was drawn up in Yerevan on May 31, 1992, and then the Lyon-Yerevan cooperation protocol was signed in 1993. This was followed by establishment of active relations in several sectors, as well as exchange of students and exchange of expertise among specialists of various professions within the framework of cooperation between Chambers of Commerce and Industry, organization of professional training programs in Yerevan etc. Mayors of both cities made a number of reciprocal visits, and the last one was made on December 3-9, 2003. Currently Lyon and Yerevan cooperate in two sectors: urban transportation (supply of buses) and urban lighting. 3 "Renault" buses of urban modification were imported in Yerevan in January 2002, 10 buses - in March 2003, and the total number of imported vehicles comprised 18 in 2004.
On July 15-20 2011 the delegation headed by the Mayor of Lyon G. Collomb arrived in Yerevan. Within the scope of the visit the protocol "Association Agreement" was signed, as well as the ceremony of the official opening of “Lyon Park” took place.
On November 208, 2014, within the scope of cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon the urban development delegation of Lyon was in Yerevan. During the five-day visit a number of meetings, cognitive visits,, discussions were organized during which the architects and urban developers, specialists of landscaping and transport companies included in the delegation presented corresponding conclusions and the possible directions of cooperation.
The program of cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon for 2015-2017 was confirmed.
At the behest of Lyon Mayor George Kepenekyan, from 9 to 11 of December 2017 the Chief Designer of Yerevan Garnik Amatunyn took part in the Light Fest in Lyon.
On March 3-8,2018 the delegation headed by Lyon Mayor arrived in Yerevan. The delegation met with Yerevan Mayor. The Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between Yerevan and Lyon. Lyon Mayor George Kepenekyan was awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Gold Medal for his contribution to strengthening the ties between Yerevan and Lyon. During the meeting Lyon Mayor met with the RA President, the RA Prime Minister, the President of the RA NA, with the RA Ministers of Education and Science, of Health, Culture, Foreign Affairs, Diaspora. Headed by Mayor George Kepenekyan the delegation visited the Memorial Complex of Armenian Genocide, the Institute-museum of the Armenian Genocide. Lyon Mayor planted a fir-tree in the Memory Alley of the Complex. The delegation also visited French University in Armenia, the French-Armenian specialized educational center and “TUMO” center for creative technologies.
On September 19,2018 the exhibition dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan, to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia and to the 17thb Francophonie Summit in Armenia was organized in Lion City Hall in collaboration with the RA General Consulate.
On April 23-27,2019 the delegation headed by the Vice Chairman of Lyon Metropolis, the First Deputy Mayor of Lyon George Kepeneky6an arrived in Yerevan. -

With the agreement signed by Yerevan mayor Gagik Beglaryan and the leader of Kaliningrad City Council Alexandr Yaroshuk in November 2009 was started the cooperation between the two cities in trade-economical, science-technical and cultural spheres.
Exhibitions, fairs, auctions, business meetings, as well as opening of trade houses, business and culture, information centers are provided within the frames of the cooperation. With the agreement the parties expressed willingness to create favorable conditions between the entities to elaborate and implement joint construction and investment programs.
Besides, it’s anticipated to organize experience exchange in the spheres of constructions, new building technologies, industry involvement, communal services and improvement. According to the agreement, both parties will create favorable conditions for the entities to expand trade-economical cooperation, to develop entrepreneurship and other industrial and economic activities.
Within the scope of the treaty the cooperation in such spheres as nature protection, science and education, culture, sport, health care and social welfare is also provided. -

According to the protocol on establishment of brotherly relations and cooperation between the cities Yerevan and Carrara, the purpose of establishment of bilateral friendly relations is acquaintance with various areas of economy, determination of possible ways for cooperation between enterprises and companies of both cities, mutually beneficial exchange of information and experience of municipal economy development.

On September 14 1995 an association agreement was signed between Kiev and Yerevan. The parties made an agreement to develop friendly relations in all the spheres of the cities' life to promote understanding between the citizens of Kiev and Yerevan. The aim of the agreement is experience and information exchange in such sphere as city management and self- government system, as well as all the fields of city economy, particularly, city development planning and urban development, public transport, health care, social welfare and environment protection systems activities.
In 2001 in Kiev the agreement “On friendly relations establishment between Yerevan and Kiev” was signed with the purpose of trade-economical, science and technical and humanitarian cooperation by long-term, stable and mutually beneficial principles, to create favorable conditions for the establishment of market economy between the entities.
Regular activities have been carried out in the format of experience exchange, mutual visits, meetings, business trips of appropriate specialists. Partnership has been established between the administrative districts of Yerevan and the districts of Kiev as well. In September 2010 a Cooperation Memorandum was signed in Yerevan between Nor Nork district of Yerevan and Goloseevsk district of Kiev.Within the frames of cooperation numerous reciprocal visits, particularly with the aim of taking part in the celebrations of the city days were organized.

On October 10, 2014 the agreement of interaction and cooperation was signed between Yerevan and Krasnodar. In accordance with it the parties are obliged to strengthen and develop friendly relations between the two cities. Accordingly the social, cultural and economical ties are to be developed.
Within the frames of the mutual visits information and experience exchange will be carried out.
At the behest of Krasnodar Mayor Vladimir Yevlanov, Yerevan Mayor’s Advisor Arayik Kotanjyan and the member of “The Republican Party of Armenia” faction Armen Amoyan. by the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan took part in the celebration of Krasnodar Day on September 26-27. The members of Yerevan delegation were warmly hosted in Krasnodar. The delegation of Yerevan planted the first tree in the alley of sister-cities opened in Victory park in Krasnodar. -

On October 9-13, 2015 the delegation from Qazvin was in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2797” celebration. During the visit the delegation met with the Mayor of Yerevan. -

The first cooperation agreement between Yerevan and Marseille was signed on January 25, 1992, and then it was renewed on January 21, 1994 in Marseille. The same year another cooperation agreement was signed by the City Hall of Yerevan, the RA Ministry of Health and the Benevolent Union of Hospitals of Marseille. The cooperation agreement was re-signed on October 26, 2001. Especially close relations have been established between Yerevan Medical University and Aix-Marseille University, Yerevan center for perinatology, obstetrics and gynecology and the Union of Marseille Armenian Doctors.
On October 19, 2007 the agreement on Yerevan and Marseille declaration as sister-cities was signed in Yerevan. A suggestion to include Yerevan in the program Cooperation in Urban Development and Dialogue /CUIDAD/ was made by Marseille Municipality. The aim of the program is to promote bilateral cooperation and to establish a dialogue with the EU countries and regional partner cities..
On October 10-12, 2009 3 specialists from municipal libraries took part in the seminar “Archives and urban libraries management” held in Marseille.
On June 21-25, 2012 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was in Marseille to take part in the event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of friendship and cooperation between the two cities. During the visit meetings with Marseille mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin, with the representatives of Diaspora and with the representatives of business circles were held. The issues related to bilateral cooperation were discussed.
On June 17 to 23, 2013 the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Foreign Relations David Gevorgyan took part in the events dedicated to “French Armenian Excellence Week” held within the frames of the festive program organized in the honour of Marseille declaration as the Europe Culture Capital 2013.
On June 20-22 the third General Assembly of the World Armenian Trade Network was organized in Marseille during which the investment programs of Yerevan were introduced.
On October 23-27, 2013, at the behest of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the delegation headed by Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin was in Yerevan to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation.
During the visit cooperation agreement between Yerevan and Marseille was signed. Cooperation agreements were also signed between “Surb Astvatsamayr” medical center subordinated to Yerevan Municipality and the public assistance clinic of Marseille, as well as between Aix-an-Provence Marseille University and the foundation “ French university of Armenia”.
Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin accompanied by Yerevan Mayor visited the basic school N 52 in Yerevan where within the European GOSPEL program a multi-functional sport ground had been constructed.
On June 28,2014 owing to Yerevan and Marseille cooperation about 180 wheelchairs provided for disabled people, as well as medical equipment and books were sent from the sister-city to Yerevan.
On April 4, 2015 the street called after Henri Verneuil was opened in Yerevan within the frames of the events called “Henri Verneuil’s days in Yerevan”. The official representative of the Municipality of Marseille arrived in Yerevan to take part in the opening ceremony.
On July 12-16, at the behest of Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin the official delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was in Marseille to take part in the events dedicated to the national holiday of the republic-Bastille Day. Within the scope of the official visit Yerevan Mayor met with his Marseille colleague and with the local business circles and representatives of the Armenian community and Armenian organizations. On June 2016 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the vice-Mayor of Marseille Didier Parakyan. Outlining the high level of Armenian-French relationship Yerevan Mayor stressed the importance of development of friendship and partnership between Yerevan and Marseille which is based on the friendship between the two countries and two nations. Taron Margaryan also outlined that the 20-year cooperation between the cities is developing and expanding from year to year which is mainly due to the activity of the local Armenian community and national organization.At the behest of Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin, on November 23-25, 2017 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor was in Marseille to mark the 25th anniversary of cooperation between the two cities. Within the frames of the visit memoranda were signed between Yerevan Municipality and Marseille Tourism and Congress Office, between Yerevan school N 48 after M. Manushyan and Marseille national School, and Yerevan “Surb Astvatsamayr” MC and Marseille “Public assistance Clinique”. The delegation of the Municipality took part in the 10th Armenian-French economic forum at which the touristic potential and development of Yerevan and the investment packages of Yerevan were presented.
On October 20-21, 2018 the Deputy Mayor of Paris Didier Parakyan arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2800” celebration. Didier Parakyan had a meeting with Yerevan Mayor. -

The cooperation agreement in the spheres of trade and economy, science and technology and culture was signed between Yerevan and Minsk in June, 2002.
In 2006-2008, 2011-2012 the delegations of Minsk City Council and the Municipality of Yerevan had reciprocal visits to take part in the celebrations of the city days.
In June 2008, the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee visited the Yerevan History Museum. During the visit the Museum was presented the photos of General Paskevich and the copy of Turkmenchay treaty. On April 21-23, 2012 the delegation of Minsk headed by the deputy chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee I. Karpenko, took part in “Yerevan-World Book Capital 2012” event. -

On September 8th 1998 in Montreal a Friendship and Cooperation Treaty was signed between Yerevan and Montreal the aim of which was to establish and develop friendly relationship between the two cities.
On July 5th 2011 Sisterhood Treaty was signed in Yerevan.
On October 28 2010 in Yerevan a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Yerevan, Armenia and Montreal, Canada.
According to the signed document, the Canadian party is obliged to support and stimulate the creation of the Nature protection center through the organization of experience exchange between Yerevan and Montreal.
At the behest of Montreal City Hall the delegation of Yerevan Municipality visited Canada in September 2011. On September 25-28,2011 the delegation headed by Montreal Mayor G. Tremblay was in Yerevan to take part in the 31st Assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors. -

On April 3 and May 29, 1996 the protocols of intentions between the city of Yerevan and the North-Western administrative region of Moscow were signed. On November 26, 1998 an agreement on cooperation in trade and economic, scientific and technical, humanitarian and cultural sectors was signed in Moscow. On February 11, 1999 the agreements on cooperation in education and tourism development sectors were signed in Yerevan. The RA government and the administration of Moscow came to agreement to open trade houses in Yerevan and Moscow. The program of cooperation between bodies of executive authority of Moscow and Yerevan was drawn up. On August 13, 2001 the decision on opening the representation of the City Hall of Yerevan in Moscow was adopted.

On September 16 2004 the 3rd International Conference of Mayors of World Cities was held in Moscow, in which mayors of 80 cities and 130 delegations took part. Yerevan delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor took part in the conference as well. The first meeting of Yerevan Mayor with the Mayor of Paris took place in Moscow. The mayors made an agreement to prepare the draft of the cooperation treaty between Yerevan and Paris municipalities. Within the frames of the visit of the mayors of Yerevan and Moscow the issues of bilateral cooperation and preparation for signing the Program of cooperation for 2005-2007 were discussed.
In March 2005 the process of implementation of the cooperation program for 2005-2007 was discussed during the meeting of the mayors of Yerevan and Moscow.
The agreement on the construction of the House of Moscow in Yerevan was made with the Moscow Government. The issues of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in different spheres were discussed.
On December 7,2007 the program of cooperation between the executive bodies of the city authorities of Moscow and Yerevan for 2008-2011 was signed.
On September 16,2009 in Moscow, the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and the Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan signed the Memorandum of development and relationship expansion between the two capitals. The Mayor of Yerevan drew the attention of Moscow Government and Moscow investors to the program of improvement of the hill after eminent Russian commander Paskevich.
On January 29-30,2010 the delegation headed by Moscow Mayor Yu.Luzhkov was in Yerevan with the aim of discussion of the issues related to bilateral cooperation. On January 29 the treaty on cooperation in the spheres of trade and economics,science and technology, and culture was signed between Yerevan Municipality and the Moscow Government. The programs of cooperation between Kentron administrative district of Yerevan and the Northern administrative district of Moscow were signed.
On April 5-7 2012 Moscow days were held in Yerevan. The Moscow delegation headed by the Minister of Moscow Government S. Cheryomin arrived in the capital. Round tables with the participation of representatives of cultural, business, sport, scientific-educational establishments and other circles, seminars, exhibitions, presentations, meetings were held within the scope of the event.
On November 26-29,2013 the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan took part in the events of Yerevan Days in Moscow. The program of cooperation for 2014-206 was signed during the visit.
On December 103,2013 the 3rd interregional conference “Russia-Armenia: Customs Union” was held in which Yerevan Municipality took part as well. Within the scope of the event the Moscow delegation arrived in Yerevan.
On October 9-13, 2014, the 2nd Youth sport games Yerevan-Moscow were held within the scope of Erebuni-Yerevan 2796 celebration.
On December 8-11, 2014,the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan was in Moscow to take part in the Moscow annual urban development forum.Within the frames of the program of cooperation for 2014-2016 signed between the Municipality of Yerevan and the Moscow Government, on June 5,2015 a meeting was held in the Municipality of Yerevan during which the issues related to expansion and development of business ties, as well as implementation of investment programs were discussed. The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan David Ohanyan, the head of the Department of Trade and Services of the Municipality of Moscow Alexey Nemiryuk, the leader of Yerevan Municipality representation in Moscow Makar Nahapetyan, as well as the representatives of a number of large local and Moscow companies engaged in production, logistics and export took part. At the end of the meeting a number of companies signed memoranda on cooperation.
In 2012-2015 the delegations of Yerevan Municipality took part in ''Golden pomegranate'' festival held in Moscow.From December 21 to 22,2017 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor took part in “Yerevan Days in Moscow event.
Within the frames of the visit a number of events were held:
• Signing of the program of cooperation for 2018-2021 between the bodies of executive power of Yerevan and Moscow.
• Opening of the photo exhibition “Yerevan sketches” in S.T. Konenkov museum-workshop.
• Jointly with Moscow Chamber of Trade and Industry the conference “Perspectives of Russian and Armenia trade-economic and humanitarian relations” was organized within the frames of which round tables on the themes related to tourism, smart technologies of urban management were held.
• The round table with the participation of the persons in charge of health system of the two cities was held in the city hospital after Botkin; as well as visits to medical establishments were organized.
• Cooperation agreements between Yerevan Chamber Theater and Moscow Theater “Most”, between the Central library after Isahakyan and “The centralized library system of Central administrative okrug” of Moscow, between Yerevan music school after Sayat Nova and Moscow secondary specialized music school after Gnesins as well as between the schools after Mayakovski of Yerevan and Moscow were signed.
• Memoranda of cooperation were signed between Avan administrative district of Yerevan and Severny okrug of Moscow, and Kentron administrative district of Yerevan and Central okrug of Moscow.A concert of Levon Malkhasyan’s jazz band and a ceremony of awarding were held in Moscow International Music House.
On December 17-19, 2018, within the scope of cooperation program signed for 2018-2021 between the executive power bodies of Yerevan and Moscow, the Days of Moscow Culture were organized in Yerevan. A number of cultural events were held: the photo exhibition entitled “My Moscow”, Vadim Eklenkrig jazz band concert, a round table entitled “Spitak earthquake: tragedy united nations” and a meeting with the RA People’s Artist Dmitry Kharatyan. The delegation of Moscow Government arrived in Yerevan to participate in the event. -

An agreement of declaration of Nice and Yerevan sister cities was signed in Yerevan on September 20, 2007. On September 22-24 2011 the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan visited Nice to participate in the event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the RA Independence held by the Municipality of Nice. Within the scope of the visit the monument to Ruben Sevak dedicated to the memory of the victims of Armenian Genocide was opened in Armenian Park in Nice.

On March 10-15, 2015 the delegation of journalists of Novosibirsk visited Yerevan to make a report about Yerevan.

At the initiative of Yerevan Municipality on April 21,2017 the Khachkar (cross stone) dedicated to commemoration of the victims of the Armenian Genocide was installed in Miralfiore park of the Italian town of Pesaro. The initiative was fulfilled jointly with “Renko” company.
The Mayor of Pesaro Matteo Ricci, the president of “Renko” company Giovanni Gaspari, the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Foreign Relations David Gevorgyan, the representatives of the RA Embassy in Italy and of the local Armenian community were present at the opening ceremony.
The author of the Khachkar is the RA Distinguished Architect Aslan Mkhitaryan. -

On April 26 2006 an Association Agreement was signed between Arabkir, an administrative district of Yerevan, and Plessis-Robinson.
In October 2011 the delegation headed by the Mayor of Plessis-Robinson Ph. Pemezek arrived in Yerevan. A meeting with the Mayor of Yerevan took place within the scope of the visit.
At the behest of the Mayor of Plessis-Robinsin Philip Pemezek the delegation headed by the leader of Arabkir administrative district H. Antonyan was in Plessis-Robinson on April 24-28, 2014.. A Khachkar (cross stone), the present from Yerevan Municipality to the city, was paced in the park adjacent to Plessis-Robinson City Hall as a token of friendship between the sister cities.
By the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the delegation of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan headed by the leader of the district Hrayr Antonyan left for Plessis-Robinson, France, to take part in the jointly organized exhibition and other actions “I remember and demand” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Within the frames of cooperation between Yerevan administrative district Arabkir and Plessis-Robinson, at the behest of Plessis-Robinson Mayor Philip Pemezek, the delegation of Arabkir district was in Plessis-Robinson on April 17-21 to take part in the city holiday which has been celebrated for 150 years. During the visit new agreements were reached. Plessis-Robinson Mayor Ph. Pemezek was awarded with the order and honorary diploma of the patriotic NGO “Glorious soldier” on behalf of the head of Arabkir district Hovhannes Vardanyan.On May 1-6,k 2015 the delegation led by the head of Arabkir district visited Plessis Robinson to participate in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
On October 30-November 5, 2017, within the frames of the cooperation meeting, the pupils of the music school after A. Hekimyan in Yerevan visited Plessis Robinson to participate in the joint concert.

A cooperation agreement between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg was signed on June 19, 1997 in Saint Petersburg; the agreement concerns the trade and economic, scientific and technical, and cultural cooperation in the areas of planning and management of municipal economy, nature protection, education, health care, culture and sports, establishment and management of joint venture, development and implementation of joint projects.
On September 13-17, 2015 Saint Petersburg days were held in Yerevan within the scope of the Russian Federation Year.
On October 30, 2006 the decision to open Yerevan Municipality Representation in saint Petersburg was made.
On March 26, 2007 during the visit of Yerevan Mayor to Saint Petersburg the program of cooperation for 2007-2009 was signed between Yerevan Municipality and the administration of Saint Petersburg.
In October 2007 Saint Petersburg Information and Business Center was opened in Yerevan.
In October 2008 the Letter of Intent was signed between the District Council of Arabkir administrative district and the Administration of Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg.
In 2010 an info-tour was organized for the mass media of St. Petersburg.
In autumn of 2010 a round table dedicated to tourism was organized in St. Petersburg.
In autumn 2012 a visit of St. Petersburg television group to Yerevan, Tatev and NKR was organized. TV programs were made and shown.
On July 6-8 2011 a visit of the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan to St. Petersburg took place. An Association Agreement for 2011-2014 was signed within the frames of the visit.
Within the frames of the visit of the delegation of St. Petersburg to Yerevan from November 30 to December 2 a round table was held with the participation of business circles of the two cities.

The official delegation was headed by the Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg O.Kazanskaya who had a meeting with the Mayor of Yerevan. Besides multi-genre concert program, round tables with representatives of cultural, business, sport, scientific-educational establishments and other circles, seminars, exhibitions, presentations, meetings were held within the scope of the event.
On July 3-5, 2013 Yerevan Days were held in Saint Petersburg.
On December 1-2, 2013 the 3rd inter-regional forum «Russia. Armenia. Customs Union» was held in which Yerevan municipality took active part. Within the scope of the event Saint Petersburg delegation arrived in Yerevan.On October 25, 2014 during the visit of the head of Arabkir administrative district Hrayr Antonyan to Saint Petersburg, the ceremony of placement of the Armenian Khachkar (cross-stone) took place in the central part of Vasileostrovski district of Saint Petersburg. In accordance with the preliminary agreement, the park where the Khachkar was placed is to be renamed after Yerevan. On December 7, 2014 the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan was in St Petersburg to take part in the solemn events dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage. Within the scope of the visit a meeting was held with the Governor of St Petersburg G. Poltavchenko.
From April 29 to May 2, 2015 the delegation headed by Saint Petersburg Governor G. Poltavchenko was in Yerevan within the scope of cultural-business forum. The program of cooperation for 2015-2020 was signed between the administration of the Municipality of Yerevan and Saint Petersburg. During the visit various visits, events, round tables and meetings were organized. A monument to the children of the Siege of Leningrad was unveiled in Arabkir administrative district of the capital.
On May 21-25 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor T. Margaryan visited Saint Petersburg on behest of Saint Petersburg Governor G Poltavchenko to take part in the events dedicated to Saint Petersburg foundation and in the international forum « “Harmony of complexity: the significance of effective urban management in the modern world”. During the visit a meeting with Saint Petersburg Governor G. Poltavchenko was held.
On June-19-23, within the frames of cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and Saint Petersburg Government, in accordance with the preliminary agreement, 10 pupils of the Yerevan basic school N 8 after A. Pushkin accompanied by the headmaster and the Russian teacher, and 4 pupils of the school N 130 accompanied by the Russian teacher visited Saint Petersburg to participate in ''Scarlet sails'' festival. During the visit the pupils visited the house-museum of A. Pushkin, the State Hermitage, the Peter and Paul Fortress, as well as other cultural establishments.
On October 8-12, within the frames of Erebuni-Yerevan celebration the delegation headed by Saint Petersburg Vice Governor O. Kazanskaya was in Yerevan. During the visit the delegation met with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.On November 5-8, 2015 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor T. Margaryan was in Saint Petersburg at the behest of Saint Peersburg Governor G. Poltavchenko to take part in the ceremony of opening of the monument to Komitas in Vasileostrovski district. During the visit a meeting with Saint Petersburg Governor G. Poltavchenko was held.
The delegations of the two cities regularly take part in the celebrations dedicated to Yerevan and Saint Petersburg days.
On May 4 and 5,2017 “ Saint Petersburg Days in Yerevan” were held in Yerevan within the frames of which the delegation headed by Georgi Poltavchenko arrived in Yerevan.
Within the frames of the program a number of events were held:
• round-table meeting about the theme “Trade and economic cooperation”. 11 representatives of Saint Petersburg and 40 representatives of Yerevan companies took part in the meeting. Round-table meetings about the theme “Cooperation in the sphere of tourism” and “Cooperation in the sphere of museum work” were held as well.
• Exhibition of the works by the winners of the children’s contest “I am drawing Petersburg” was opened; photo exhibition of the works by Valeri Plotnikov, as well as the concert of “Billy’s Band” group were held too.
•In Yerevan school N122 after A.Blok the Agreement on cooperation was signed between the school N122 after A.Blok in Yerevan and the state budget educational establishment of the secondary school N235 after D. Shostakovich of Admiralteyski district of Saint Petersburg.
•in medical establishments of Yerevan were held master classes for medical specialists and consultations of St Petersburg doctors were given for the residents of Yerevan.
• Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and Saint Petersburg Governor Georgi Poltavchenko laid flowers at the memorial to the children of the Siege of Leningrad. A meeting with the veterans of the Siege of Leningrad residing in Yerevan.On June 19 to 25 of 2017 was organized the visit of 14 pupils of municipal cultural centers who won in the international children’s contest “I am drawing Petersburg” to Saint Petersburg The schoolchildren from Yerevan won in the contest were welcomed by Saint Petersburg Governor Georgi Poltavchenko. More than one thousand schoolchildren from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Moldova took part in the contest. 38 schoolchildren became winners and 14 of them are from the municipal cultural centers of Yerevan.
From 20 to 23 of June of 2017 the delegation headed by the head of Malatia Sebastia administrative district was in Saint Petersburg with an official visit.
At the behest of Saint Petersburg governor Georgi Poltavchenko the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarine was in Saint Petersburg with the official visit from 6 to 8 of September,2017. During this period the program of events “Yerevan Days in Saint Petersburg” was held within the framework of which a number of official meetings, round tables related to the field of culture, tourism, health, education and investments, as well as numerous cultural events representing Yerevan were organized.
From 26 to 29 of June, 2018 the delegation headed by the Vice Governor of Saint Petersburg arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Saint Petersburg Days in Yerevan” program. During the visit Cooperation Agreements were signed between the basic school N55 after A. The musicians arrived from Saint Petersburg held master classes in the music achoolafter A. Spendiaryan, a joint concert program was held as well.
The specialists of the sphere of heath of Saint Petersburg visited the policlinic after K. Yesayan, the maternity home Kanaker Zeytun, “Surb Astvatsaamayr” Mc, policlinics “Shengavit” and N8. A cooperation agreement between the city council of Yerevan and the city hall of Isfahan was signed on May 5, 1995. It includes the cultural, education, economic and sports sectors, municipal government and staging various exhibitions. The agreement on declaring Isfahan and Yerevan sister cities was signed on April 27, 2004 in Isfahan. The cities are in permanent cooperation. Mutual visits and official invitations to participate in various events are always carried out.
On May 5, 1995 a cooperation agreement was signed between the City Council of Yerevan and the Municipality of Isfahan. It includes the spheres of culture, education, economy, sports and urban management, organization of various exhibitions.
On April 27,2000 the treaty declaring Yerevan and Isfahan sister-cities was signed. Permanent interaction is being developed. Within the scope of the cooperation the delegations of the two cities took part in the celebrations of the days of the cities.
In 2004-2014 the delegations of Isfahan were in Yerevan on the event of Yerevan Day.
On June 23-26, 2008 at the behest of the Mayor of Isfahan S.Nejad the delegation of the Municipality of Yerevan took part in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of foundation of the Municipality of Isfahan and its City Council.
On April 21-23, 2012, within the frames of “Yerevan-World Book Capital 2012” event the delegation of Isfahan was in Yerevan.
From July 27 to August 1,2014 the leader of n5 administrative district of Isfahan (New Julfa) H.Asarzadegan was in Yerevan with a courtesy visit.
On may 11-16, 2015 the basketball team of “Pyunik” NGO of disabled people took part in the 2nd international tournament of disabled held in Isfahan. -

The agreement "On Establishing Friendship and Cooperation between the Executive Committee of the City Council of Yerevan and the City Administration of Stavropol" was signed in Yerevan on October 28, 1994. By its nature, the agreement concerns cooperation in trade and economic, scientific and technical, information, social and cultural sectors.
On October 11, 2013,together with Stavropol Mayor G. Kolyagin who arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan” celebration the agreement on sisterhood establishment between Yerevan and Stavropol was signed.
On May 7-10, 2015 the delegation of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan, on behest of the administration of Stavropol took part in the events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In September 2015, at the behest of Stavropol Mayor G. Kolyagin the delegation of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan, by the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan took part in the events dedicated to Stavropol Krai Day and to the city day.
During the visit the members of the delegation visited the cultural center Hayordats Tun and familiarized themselves with its activity. The festive events were finished with the concert program at Victory square in which the pupil of the cultural center N5 in Shengavit administrative district Rita Hovhannisyan was performing. -

At the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan,on September 28,2012 “Friendship treaty” and “ The program of cooperation for 2012-2014” were signed between Yerevan and Stepanakert.
Corresponding cooperation programs have been implemented in all directions. Stepanakert Municipality was provided with assistance in all the spheres of urban economy. In January and August of 2013 visits of the parents of the fixed-period servicemen residing in Yerevan and serving in the NKR to the military units of Karabakh were organized. In 2014 the cooperation with Stepanakert and other districts of the NKR became more active.
On July 10-13, 2014 the second pedestrian sport and health campaign Yerevan-Stepanakert was organized.
On July 11, 2014, during the visit of the Yerevan delegation headed by Mayor Taron Margaryan to the NKR, T. Margaryan, the First Lady R. Sargsyan opened the 7 tufa sculptures made by the students of art college after Terlemezyan and presented to Stepanakert. The project was realized within the frames of the cooperation established between the municipalities of Yerevan and Stepanakert.
On Septemeber 27, 2014, the Mayor of Yerevan took part in the celebration of the 91st anniversary of Stepanakert foundation.
On October 9-12,2014, at the behest of the Mayor of Yerevan, the delegation headed by the Mayor of Stepanakert S. Grigoryan took part in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2796 celebration.
On November 21-23, 2014, on the decision of the Mayor of Yerevan the working group of the Municipality left for the NKR capital Stepanakert. During the visit the delegation met with the Mayor of Stepanakert S. Grigoryan. The issues related to the budget, purchases, incomes, urban design, were discussed during the meeting.
On February 6-8, 2015 the official delegation of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan headed by the leader of the administrative district Hrayr Antonyan visited Stepanakert and Martuni, NKR. The fulfilled activities were discussed and the further plans were confirmed. Within the frames of the visit 35 parents residents of Arabkir visited their sons serving in the army in the frontier military units of NKR. During the visit of the head of Arabkir district Hrayr Antonyan to the town of Martuni, NKR had a meeting with the Mayor of Martuni Mher Khachatryan. During the meeting it was decided to build a square named after Yerevan in Martuni.
On February 26, 2015, within the scope of Yerevan-Stepanakert cooperation the delegation of Davtashen administrative district of Yerevan headed by the leader of the district Ruslan Baghdasaryan left for Artsakh. The delegation met with the Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan. On February 27, 2015 the delegation of the administrative district accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Tamrazyan left for Martakert. A memorandum on cooperation was signed between Davtashen and Martakert.
On March 24-26 of 2015, within the frames of cooperation program between Yerevan and NKR the delegation headed by the leader of Shengavit district visited Martakert district of NKR. The delegation was hosted by the Mayor of Martakert. The issues related to cooperation and experience exchange were discussed during the meetings.
On April 15,2015 the delegation of Malatia Sebastia district led by the head of the district visited Qashatagh district of NKR, Berdzor town and the capital of NKR Stepanakert. A visit of the members of the RA Union of Veterans and the parents of 19 soldiers (residents of the district) was organized. At the end of the visit the delegation had a meeting with the NKR President Bako Sahakyan.
On May 19-21 the delegation of the administrative districts of Erebuni and Nubarashen visited Artsakh. During the visit the members of Yerevan delegation met with the Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan. The parties discussed the further cooperation plans. The members of the delegation visited the frontier military units of Stepanakert. Greeting the servicemen on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the heads of the districts wished them good service and handed them the presents from the schoolchildren and TV sets.
During the visit to NKR the delegation of Yerevan districts also visited Hadrut, met with the head of the city administration Valery Gevorgyan and with Mayor Armen Abrahamyan.
To establish and strengthen the bilateral ties the heads of Erebuni and Nubarashen districts signed the memorandum on friendship with the administration of Hadrut district and the town of Hadrut.
On June 26-28 the delegation headed by the leader of Ajapnyak district Artavazd Sargsyan visited Artsakh and met with the Mayor of Stepanakert S. Grigoryan. During the visit the plans for duther cooperation were discussed. Within the frames of cooperation program “Ajapnyak-Shushi” the head of Ajapnyak district A. Sargsyan met with the head of Shushi district administration Vladimir Kasyan, visited kindergartens and the military unit.
On October 9-11 of 2015, within the frames of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2797” celebration the delegation headed by Stepanakert Mayor S. Grigoryan was in Yerevan. During the visit the program of cooperation for 2015-2020 between the municipalities of Yerevan and Stepanakert was signed.Within the first half of 2016, 63 delegations and working groups from Yerevan visited NKR, and 46 visits were from Artsakh to Yerevan.
Currently, with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality a park of freedom fighters (Azatamartiks' park) is being built in Stepanakert.
On July 14-17 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was in the NKR with an official visit. During the visit Yerevan delegation met with the NKR President Bako Sahakyan and with the Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan. Within the frames of the official visit the meeting-discussion was organized during which the results of the cooperation between the two capitals, as well as between the 12 administrative districts of Yerevan and NKR communities was summarized. -

On April 25-28 2011 the delegation headed by the Mayor of Yerevan left for Paris with the official visit to participate in the event dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
On October 24-27 2011, the delegation headed by the Mayor of Paris, the Chairman of the AIMF B. Delanoe arrived in Yerevan with an official visit. Within the framework of the visit the Friendship and Cooperation Agreement was signed, the main spheres of which are architecture and urban development, culture and university exchanges, domestic waste processing and cleaning, transportation and transport policy, tourism, manpower training.
From 14 to 19 of 2013 the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor visited Lyon, Valence and Paris to participate in the conference of Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation and discussion of bilateral cooperation.
At the behest of the international advisor, chief delegate for foreign relations of Paris Municipality Bernard Pinegole, the delegation of Yerevan Municipality was in Paris from 11 to 16 of 2014 to discuss the issues related the bilateral cooperation between Yerevan and the Regional Council of Ile-de France, Paris and AIMF.
From April 29 to July 4, 2015 a temporary exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide “Armenia 1915: Paris hosts the collection of the museum-institute of Armenian Genocide of Yerevan” will be held in the Municipality of Paris. Deputy Mayor of Yerevan A. Sukiasyan took part in the ceremony of opening of the exhibition in Paris, which was held on April 28.
From 6 to 9 of 2016 the delegation headed by Paris Mayor Ann Hidalgo was in Yerevan to take part in the celebration of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2798”.
From 24 to 28 of January,2018 the delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of Paris Pauline Veron was in Yerevan. The aim of the visit was studying the possibilities of creation of the center similar to the Armenian project TUMO center for creative technologies in Paris. A treaty of friendship and cooperation was signed between Yerevan and Cambridge on October 5, 1987. A two-year agreement on cooperation and exchange was signed in 1994, and the two-year treaty "On Cooperation and Exchange" was signed in 2001 and renewed in 2003. It includes professional development programs, youth exchange projects, ecological, educational and training programs, three-year sponsorship of assistance programs for schools of Armenia, and cooperation in tourism and sports sectors. The main attention is focused on the strengthening of relations among schools within the framework of the "Association of Sister Cities".

The agreement "On Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, and Cultural Cooperation between the City Hall of Yerevan, RA and the City Hall of Kishinev, Moldova" was signed between Yerevan and Kishinev on May 25, 2000 in Kishinev. The parties undertook obligations to expand friendly relations among citizens of both cities, promote new forms of public and economic development and reciprocal connections, develop economic relations, strengthen scientific and cultural contacts, and cooperate in the sectors of tourism and nature protection.
On September 18-19, 2015 the Mayor of the capital of the Republic of Moldova Dorin Chirtoaka was in Yerevan with the aim of participation in the meeting of the bureau of the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities for Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP). During the visit the meeting of the mayors of the two cities was held.
The delegations of the two cities take part in the celebrations dedicated to Yerevan Day and Kishinev Day. -
