Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the First Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan and Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan were present at the opening of the exhibition dedicated to 150th birthday anniversary of Armenian Commander Andranik Ozanyan (Zoravar Andranik) at the National gallery of Armenia. The exhibition was organized by Yerevan Municipality, the Ararat Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, National Gallery of Armenia and the History Museum of Armenia, as well as the Union of the World Armenian Painters. About 65 of the presented 130 works were selected and displayed at the exhibition.
Mayor Taron Margaryan accompanied by the co-president of the Union of the World Armenian Painters Lazar Mirzoyan walked about the exhibition hall, familiarized himself with the works. Within the frames of the solemn opening the chairman of the benevolent foundation «Andranik Ozanyan» Ilyich Beglaryan awarded the First Deputy Mayor, the president of the NGO «Patriotic Union Sasun-Taron» Kamo Areyan with the gold medal «Andranik Ozanyan».
It should be noted that theexhibition also included the works by Panos Terlemezyan, Aram Isabekyan, Edward Isabekyan, Hrant Tadevosyan, Faraon Mirzoyan, Ara Shiraz, Mkrtich Papoyan, Vilik Zakaryan,Edik Vardanyan, Harutyun Harutyunyan, Misak Melkonyan, A.Rukhkyan,Varos Shahmuradyan as well as some personal things of the great Armenian Commander.
