Kindergartens No. 138 and No. 74 have reopened in Yerevan following extensive renovation works. The facilities have been modernized with the introduction of energy-efficiency solutions, including the installation of solar panels, water heaters, boilers, and energy-saving lighting.
The project was co-financed by the Yerevan Municipality, in partnership with the European Investment Bank, the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P) Fund, and with technical assistance provided by UNDP. These kindergartens are now among the community-owned preschools in Yerevan that have been renovated under the energy-efficiency program.
In 2026, large-scale renovation works are to begin in an additional 13 kindergartens.
The program aims to significantly reduce energy consumption across preschool institutions managed by the Yerevan Municipality.
These projects are designed to create a safer, more modern, and sustainable environment for our children.
