The Yerevan Young Spectator’s Theatre which also hosts various art centres, is under renovation. Currently, the process is going on in fitting rooms, corridors and restrooms. According to the acting head of construction and improvement department of Yerevan Municipality Armen Harutyunyan, the building will be fully renovated: the first stage involves interior renovation: restrooms, rooms, drainage pipes, doors and windows. The ventilation and heating systems are being replaced with new ones as well.
The next stage involves the stage and the hall. Some old wooden constructions are being demolished as they can’t be used any longer.
The end of renovation is scheduled for 2025. The external walls of the building will be restored without façade deviation. The theatre founded about a century ago will be fully modernized.
