New parks are being created across Yerevan. The area adjacent to the Yerevan Physics Institute, commonly known as “Phys-Gorodok”, which had previously turned into a landfill, has been returned to residents as a new public recreational space.
As part of the tree-planting initiative, 220 mature, high-quality trees and 1,500 shrubs were planted across an area of 1.3 hectares.
