Some groups of citizens to get public transport fare discounts: a package of benefits to be submitted to Yerevan Council of Elders
The process, which came into force on November 1, is an integral part of the comprehensive reform of public transport and the full implementation of a single ticket system. During the regular working meeting, it was reported that in the period from 25 to 27 of October "Yerevan Bus" CJSC collected 62 million 370 thousand 100 drams, and from 1 to 3 of November this figure was 72 million 528 thousand drams.
On October 31, 19 thousand 709 citizens made payments through validators (mobile QR application, paper QR), and on November 1 - 52 thousand 153 citizens.
"This process shows us that the perception of a single ticket system is widespread among Yerevan residents. Despite certain problems, this system is a direction that has no alternative. The benefits package will also be presented at one of the upcoming meetings of the Council of Elders. Some groups will make use of the privilege and receive discounts: schoolchildren, pensioners, socially vulnerable groups who really need it,” the Mayor said.

According to the indicator obtained from 140 stations installed at construction sites in September, the fine-grained dust p.m.2.5 indicator in the air was 10.8 micrograms per cubic meter, which does not exceed the legal limit of 35 micrograms per cubic meter.
Considering that the equipment is installed at construction sites where mainly coarse-grained dust (p.m. 10 and more) is formed, the indicator was also taken into account, according to which the density of 10 p.m. and above was 22.9 μg/m3, which also does not exceed the limit. For 10 p.m., the maximum permissible density determined by law is 60 μg/m3.
