Taron Margaryan welcomed the two-time Europe Chess champion Mamikon Gharibyan

Yerevan Mayor, the President of Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan welcomed the two-time champion of Europe Chess Tournament,12-year-old Mamikon Gharibyan.The pupil of Yerevan chess school after Tigran Petrosyan took part in Europe Chess Tournament this year and became two-time champion of Europe. Greeting the young chess player the Mayor wished him new achievements and success as well as expressed confidence that Mamikon will go on upholding the honour of Armenia at the international arena.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the young chess player said that the participation in Europe championship is a responsibility itself and the victory became a stimulus for achieving new heights. Stressing the importance of firm and targeted policy of Yerevan Mayor aimed at chess development in the capital, Mamikon Gharibyan's father and his coach noted that it makes it possible to reveal talented children. Mayor Taron Margaryan once again assured that the program policy aimed at the development and popularization of chess in the capital will be long-term.
