During the regular working meeting in the City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan referred to illegal tree felling happened the day before in Davtashen administrative district of the capital.

“The case of tree felling happened in Davtashen district is an act of vandalism. Everybody knows my position concerning illegal tree felling: in any similar case punishment must be applied in accordance with law. In this case the guilty must be applied the strict punishment determined by law. Administrative penalty is not enough. In such cases the law allows to prosecute. those guilty. Hence, I assign the Department of Nature Protection of the Municipality, the head of Davtashen district in cooperation with the Yerevan Police to reveal those guilty and to pass the materials to the Prosecutor's office of Yerevan so as to start appropriate process. Everybody must know that any case of illegal tree felling will never be justified by us”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
