Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan introduced the acting director of “Urban development” (“Kaghakashinutyun”) CJSC Armen Gevorgyan to the staff of the company. Stressing the importance of the work of Municipality-subordinated structural subdivisions Mayor Marutyan demanded fair and transparent working style.
“I have heard numerous negative rumours about this CJSC. It means that there were certain functions, actions which don’t meet the requirements of our new Armenia. I mean that all processes must be transparent, the company must be accountable to the citizens and they should be aware of all processes. Besides I know that there used to be some LLCs which were serving this CJSC. It means that the work which was to be done by the company was sent to other LLCs which actually were opened by the employees of the CJSC and those LLCs earned money at the costs of the citizens. Such practice has been rejected”, said the Mayor.

Yerevan Municipality subordinated ''Urban development'' CJSC carries out such functions as geodesy (measurement of areas), general planning, specialized conclusions to be given for illegal constructions and some others.
“High-quality work in determined terms. The population should be satisfied with the work and services provided by the company: Yerevan Mayor also presented the main requirements for the company’s further activity.
“I simply won’t let spread any rumours that there is corruption in the municipal CJSC. We will watch the company’s activity and in case of any alarm call I will do my best to reveal what happened and to apply the punishment determined by law. The violators will be subjected to criminal charges”, stressed Hayk Marutyan.
