Three-year Cooperation Agreement  Signed Between Yerevan, Lyon and Metropolis of Lyon

Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan, who is currently in Lyon, met with his counterpart, Mayor Grégory Doucet.
Welcoming the members of the Yerevan delegation, the Mayor of Lyon stated that this visit will create new opportunities to implement joint projects.
Highlighting the importance of deepening cooperation with French partner cities and regions, the Mayor of Yerevan emphasized that the agreement to be signed will allow the implementation of effective cooperation programs in all the areas jointly chosen by the parties. These areas include greening, urban development, vocational education, culture, sports, Francophonie, tourism, and others.
The official meeting was followed by the ceremony of signing  the " Three-Year Agreement on Decentralized Cooperation ".
The document was signed by Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan, Mayor of Lyon Grégory Doucet, and President of the Lyon Metropolis Bruno Bernard.
The three-year cooperation agenda includes opportunities for the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects, aimed at developing local self-government systems and improving the delivery of public services.
