From now on people with vision disorders visiting Yerevan History Museum can familiarize themselves with the tactile replica of Tamanyan’s General Plan of Yerevan. The initiative was carried out due to the inclusive project entitled “Speaking Canvas” of “Sarer” cultural organization with the support of Yerevan Municipality.
The General Plan is made in detail and high accuracy. It took specialists about 4 months to complete the replica. The Voice Guide is activated via the QR-code. The electronic guide tells the story of creation of the General Plan and makes it possible to have a virtual tour round Yerevan of Tamanyan’s period.
It is the first experience of the museum when visitors are allowed to touch the architect’s sketch. The programs designated to ensure inclusiveness in museums and other cultural centres of the community will be continued.
