30 Buses to Come out on Itineraries in Yerevan

The bus fleet of Yerevan has been replenished with 30 new buses. At the regular meeting of the Council of Elders the operation of the new buses was transferred to “Yerevan Bus” CJSC. Mayor Tigran Avinyan informed that this year the community intends to purchase about 200 8,5-meter buses, and 250 18-meter electric buses furthermore.

 Considering the constructive criticism, proposals and wide public discissions related to the installation of the unified ticket system, the issue was removed from the Council’s agenda.

 Kanaker 2nd street with its lane in Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district will be named after the Armenian writer, playwright, publicist and translator, Arm.SSR Distinguished Culture Figure Perch Zeytuntsyan; Kanaker 3rd street will be named after the Armenian writer, playwright, publicist, scenario writer, film director, editor and painter, Arm.SSR Distinguished Art Figure Aghasi Ayvazyan; Kanaker 8th street will bear the name of the Armenian poet, children’s writer Ghukas Sirunyan, and Davtashen 8th street in Davtashen administrative district will be named after the actor, Arm.SSR People’s Artist Azat Sherents.
