The itinerary network of public transport of Yerevan has been updated. During the regular working meeting it was reported that all 24 itineraries served by old “Gazels” had been studied and it was decided to replace 363 “Gazel” minibuses with 143 buses. Due to reduction of the number of vehicles the traffic will be relieved, and the run of vehicles will decrease as well which will reduce costs for servicing.
The first change is scheduled for June 1. The new buses of “MAN” make will come out on the itineraries every 15 days. A new regular itinerary will start working to “Zvartnots” airport with backwards itinerary along Isakov avenue – “Haghtanak” bridge – Mashtots avenue – France square. It will work with 45-minute interval.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan claimed that by September all itineraries servicing by “Gazel” old minibuses will be replaced with newly imported buses. He added that they had some negotiations with “Yandex” company regarding installation of the system for common network management. This process should be sped up so that people could see all buses on the map. This possibility is to be created at all bus-stops.
It was reported that 4 more trolleybuses will be in Yerevan today and by the end of May all 15 trolleybuses will be in Yerevan. The new trolleybuses can move 60 km without electric power and this means that the routes can be expanded.

Concerning the maintenance of newly constructed roads it was reported that the concept of work will completely change. Filling of holes, road marking, installation of road signs and replacement of headwalls will be fully provided by Yerevan Road Construction company.

Discussions with the State Cadaster Committee involve the problem of clarification of the current borders of Yerevan, measurement and the houses and surrounding areas in Kond residential quarter. The Cadaster made recent measurements in 2019 while the first stage of the competition for the Kond project took place in 2021. The second stage is to be discussed with the Government to fulfil two processes simultaneously. To protect the dwellers’ rights, it necessary to have precise data on the property sizes they own.

The community cooperates with developers in the issues of refreshment of the residential fund of the city and restoration of the buildings with high level of emergency. To increase the interest of developers it was offered to consider the logic of not a single building but the whole courtyard as well, which will include several buildings and make it possible to provide better settlement of the dwellers.

It is planned to start extension-day services in preschools which will make it possible for employed parents to pick up their kids after work. The city authorities have not decided yet on what basis the service will be provided - with extra payment or some other way. The vice mayor outlined that there are still lots of problems related to education and although the organizational process is within the Municipality powers, they should cooperate with the ESCS ministry to work out additionally the content of the work in preschools and make use of the successful experience of private kindergartens.

The heads of administrative districts presented the process of improvement and renovation in yard areas. Taking into account the high level of pollution in the city, the requirement was set to use dust catchers in building sites and to control the process.

A special platform for registration of residents’ reviews and opinions is going to be launched. There will be a possibility to make proposals as well.
