At the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the ethno-electronic group “Hogh Arthun” has created the ballet-oratorio “David of Sassoun” (Sasuntsi Davit), which will speak to Armenian audiences through the language of art. The premiere will be held on December 18 and 19 at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after A. Spendiaryan.
Beyond the stage production itself, the project is expanding into new cultural initiatives. In particular, specially designed thematic costumes created within the framework of the project will be available for purchase from the opening day, with 10% of the proceeds donated to support children battling cancer.
