A new 150 kW solar power station has been put into operation on the roof of Building 9 of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. It is the largest in the university and was constructed with the support of the "Renewable Energy Fund."
The design, installation, and operation of the station were carried out by the university’s specialists, teaching staff, and students, who contributed this way to the improvement of the university's energy efficiency.
The modernization programs of the university are ongoing. Last year, the courtyard area was completely renovated, a new garden was laid, and various laboratories were created. Currently, extensive construction work is being carried out in the sports complex, which will provide the university with modern and fully equipped sports infrastructure.
Yerevan Mayor and Chair of the Board of Trustees of NPUA, Tigran Avinyan, visited the university and familiarized himself with the ongoing work on-site.
Such development projects for Yerevan’s educational and scientific institutions are of great importance for the city's overall progress.
