A number of activities within “Heart Safe City” initiative
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time, but with the right tools and proper knowledge, lives can be saved.
The following steps were taken within the framework of the “Heart Safe City” initiative:
raising awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation through educational programs and training of volunteers;
installation of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in public places of the small center of Yerevan;
creation of a mobile application through which trained volunteers will receive alerts from emergency services in case of cardiac arrest and will be able to provide immediate assistance before medical aid arrives;
ensuring communication between the emergency management center and volunteers through new technologies.
