Changes in public transport ticket sales system: first meeting of 4th session of Yerevan Council of Elders has taken place
At today's meeting, Yerevan Council of Elders made amendments to the project related to transport ticket packages. Starting from March 1, pensioners and citizens receiving benefits who are not registered in Yerevan will be able to purchase tickets for the capital's public transport at a discounted price. In addition, the validity period of a ticket allowing 3 trips within 90 minutes becomes 180 minutes, and trips with 1- and 7-day packages also become unlimited. According to the new amendments, citizens with 4 or more children will be able to use transport free of charge, regardless of the age of the children - the restriction has been lifted. Children with disabilities, as well as those receiving social benefits, will also be able to use it free of charge. The validity period of 10 trips for 1,500 drams has also been prolonged from 30 days to 45 days. This change will come into force the day after publication.

The next meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders is scheduled for March 18.
