The building of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan is going to get a newly-designed artistic illumination. A number of samples are currently discussed with the partners from UNO. During the regular working meeting Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan instructed to take steps to modernize the illumination of the buildings of Republic square.

A new washing station will be built at the depot of the municipality-owned “Electrotransport” company. The modern washing station will ensure proper sanitary conditions of community-owned trolleybuses and buses. It was reported that the tender for the station purchase is to be held today.

Bus stop cabins are being inventoried to get furnished and modernized. Last week the activities were carried out in Ajapnyak, Shengavit and Erebuni districts. The program is to be implemented step by step. 10 new bus stop cabins will be installed this year. The process is started from Ajapnyak.

Overhauling of three sport halls of Shengavit youth and children’s sport school is scheduled for 2023. The competition for the overhauling design has been held this year, hence, the overhauling itself will start at once next year.

The process of welding garbage chutes is still going on. Currently, there are 43 chutes that are still open. It was instructed to take actions to complete the process.

To make the capital city cleaner Yerevan Municipality has initiated weekly clean-up actions in administrative districts. Last week the process was carried out in Ajapnyak district. 20 problematic spots were cleaned up during the action. This week the clean-up action will be held in Nor Nork administrative district.

At the end of the meeting, for many-year and significant contribution to the sphere of urban development of Yerevan and for high professional qualities the director of “Yerevanproject” CJSC Sirekan Ohanyan was awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s honorary diploma.
