“The Colour of Pomegranates” Armenian-French Performance Dedicated to Sergey Parajanov’s 100th anniversary
The first show of the “The Colour of Pomegranates” dance performance was held at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Pallet after A.Spendiarov in Yerevan. It was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of film director Sergey Parajanov. The author of the idea is Sate Khachatryan, the choreograph and artistic director – Murad Merzuki.
The performance is a dialogue between cultures and arts. It combines different styles of music and dance trying to convey the poetry of Parajanov’s style.
The project was implemented with the support of Yerevan Municipality and the ESCS Ministry.
