Sargis Babayan's Bust of Missak Manouchian Recognized as Best in Competition
A sculpture of the Armenian poet and French national hero Missak Manouchian, created by sculptor Sargis Babayan, will be installed in Yerevan. A total of 10 applications were submitted for the open competition for the bust. The jury made their choice, and the work by Sargis Babayan received 10 votes, while the second place went to the sculpture by Armenak Vardanyan, which received 2 votes.
The bust will be installed in Missak Manouchian Park. The total prize fund for the competition is 3 million AMD.
