A number of mass, international and city-wide sport events were held in Yerevan in 2024, some of which were held for the first time. 15 international tournaments, including 13 sports, brought together about 6,500 athletes from 16 countries in Armenia.
The community attaches great importance to the involvement of people with locomotor handicap in sports life; various initiatives are being implemented for the elderly and young residents of Yerevan.
This year, several projects for the reconstruction and construction of sports centers has been worked out, and next year the process will move to the practical stage.
