The Artistic Theatre “Mher Mkrtchyan” has opened its doors after overhauling and re-equipment initiated by Yerevan Municipality. The theatre reopened with the first show of Yevgeny Schwartz’s “An Ordinary Miracle” play. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan was present at the first show. The Mayor stressed that after the renovation, the theatre has gained a new environment and new content. In his opinion such activities significantly improve the cultural life of the city.
Now the theatre has got a new up-to-date sound and light equipment which opens new opportunities to create. More than 400 million AMD was disbursed form the community budget. The theatre created due to Mher Mkrtchyan’s effort about 30 years ago, now has new creative plans.
