We Should Not Tolerate Such Attitude: Vice Mayor Tigran Avinyan Refers to Incident in Metro
The consequences of the collapse happened at “Yerevan Mill” OCJS and caused limitation of the work of Yerevan Metro after K.Demirchyan are being eliminated. The stones and earth hindered the movement of trains in the segment between “Sasuntsi David” and “Zoravar Andranik” metro stations. It should be noted that since April 2 the regular work of the Underground has been restored. During the working meeting Vice Mayor Tigran Avinyan referring to the occurrence instructed the persons in charge of the sphere to apply strict punishment to the construction developer.
The Vice Mayor stressed that the case could have resulted in human victims thus, the approach of the authorities must be strict. Such irresponsible and careless attitude can be seen in various spheres and must not be tolerated.

Well-arrangement of yards and parks, restoration of recreation zones, construction of football grounds, improvement of streets and pavements, modernization of street illumination, construction od drainage systems: heads of administrative districts presented their reports on current and anticipated activities. Yerevan Vice-Mayor instructed to pay attention to the time of fulfilment and to set it within reasonable limits.

Yerevan is going to start current servicing of roads. It means that each administrative district will have a road construction company with which it will sign a contract for 3 or 5 years. Such a company will be responsible for filling of holes, cracks and road marking and other relevant activities all year round. Inventory of technical facilities necessary for traffic organization will be completed this month.

The process of procurement and installation of 20 elevators for people with locomotor disabilities in ten underground passages in Yerevan is going to start this year. The competition for the project is going to be held in near future.

The community greenhouse and arboretum facilities will be expanded. The open area of the arboretum used to occupy 5 hectares and now its surface has reached 10 hectares due to the spring actions.

Spring pruning has been over. The process involved 55 streets and avenues, 131 yard areas and 15 parks.

The new buses of “MAN” and “Zhong Tong” make are coming on itineraries from April 12. By the beginning of June, it is planned to put on routes 150 buses.
