Yerevan Municipality Launches New Social Initiative
The Yerevan Municipality’s Department of Children and Social Protection, in cooperation with the Nature Protection Department, has launched a new social program that offers children aged 10 to 15 living in Yerevan the opportunity to visit the Animal Care Center. Interested individuals should register in advance by calling 1-05.
The center welcomed its first group of children today. During the visit, participants had the chance to interact with and care for the dogs housed at the center, while also learning proper animal care and interaction practices.
In addition to its educational value, the program also has a social component: children who wish may adopt a dog from the center.
