During the regular working meeting in the City Hall it was reported that preparations for winter season are going on in blocks of flats. By the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the work of drainage systems are being restored where necessary. it was reported that in the boiler houses of pre-school, educational, cultural and medical establishments preparations for safe operation of heating systems are going on. The head of the Municipality Department of General Education reported that thermo-insulation of the doors and windows is going on in secondary schools and the process will be over by the end of the week.
During the meeting it was also reported that in accordance with Yerevan Mayor's instruction, the Department of External Design and Advertising and the State Language Inspectorate carried out corresponding inspections as a result of which 60 advertisement boards not corresponding to the requirement of the law had been revealed. 31 economy entities were instructed to bring the advertising constructions to concordance with the requirement of the law, 29 advertisement boards were dismantled. In this regard it was instructed to carry on consistent control.
By the instruction of Yerevan Mayor, last week inventory of underground crossings was fulfilled in all administrative districts. In 18 underground crossings a number of violations were revealed. It was instructed to ensure meeting the obligations for putting the crossings to appropriate order by entities.
In the sphere of urban development 11 cases of illegal construction were revealed last week.
Regarding illegal street trade prevention it was reported that 5 cases were fixed last week. Concerning prevention of wastes dumping in inappropriate places it was reported that 61 protocols were drawn up last week. It was instructed to set everyday rigid control in all directions.
Cleaning up of parks, care for trees and sanitary pruning are going on in the capital too. In parallel, preparations for the scheduled citywide clean-up and tree planting are being carried out.
At the end of the meeting it was reported that preparations are being made for the organization and holding the events provided for “Saint Petersburg days in Yerevan” event scheduled for November 9-12.
