Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the president of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan, the RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Hrachya Rostomyan and the members of “Ararat-73” football team was present at the ceremony of opening of the sculpture group dedicated to the legendary football team “Ararat 73” which had become the USSR champion and winner of the USSR Cup. The honour of solemn opening of the sculpture group was given to legendary footballers and opening of the monument of the Victory Cup was performed by Yerevan Mayor and the president of the National Olympic Committee. The author of the sculpture group “Ararat 73” which has been erected nearby “Hrazdan” stadium is the Chief Architect of Yerevan Tigran Barseghyan, and the leader of the group of sculptors is Aram Samvelyan.
