Chess schools construction program has been completed in Yerevan
Yerevan Mayor, the President of Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan took part in the ceremony of opening of the new chess school in Nork Marash administrative district. With the opening of this school the program of chess schools construction in the capital has been completed.
The area of the school N 157 has been completely renovated and currently can accept up to 200 children to provide them with free chess education.
Accompanied by the persons in charge Mayor Taron Margaryan walked about the school and familiarized himself with the facilities.
Expressing gratitude to the Mayor for supporting chess development and particularly outlining the fact of chess schools being free of charge the executives persons noted that owing to formation of chess schools in the capital the number of children and youth fond of chess had increased.
It should be noted that the program started in 2013 has been completed. As Mayor Taron Margaryan promised, free chess schools now work in all administrative districts. Within the frames of the program more than 4000 children have the opportunity to get free chess education.
