The basic school N 192 has been named after the legendary Soviet investigator Gevorg Vardanyan
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the RA First Lady Rita Sargsyan and numerous guests was present at the solemn ceremony of naming the basic school N 192 in the capital after the legendary Soviet investigator Gevorg Vardanyan. The legendary Armenian investigator's wife Gohar Vardanyan was present at the event too. Expressing her gratitude to the initiators and organizers, she advised the pupils studying at that school to be diligent, responsible, devoted and patriotic. In her speech addressed to those present the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education Gayane Soghomonyan in her turn noted that it's an honour to get education in this school named after Gevorg Vardanyan whose biography is of great significance for us particularly, for the younger generation.
«We are very proud with the fact that the legendary Armenian investigator was one of the first people to be awarded with the title of the Soviet Union Hero. We are glad that Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan taking into account the request-suggestion of Gevorg Vardanyan's colleagues, relatives as well as of the teaching staff and the parents of the basic school N 192 made this decision and this issue of naming the school was included in the agenda of the Council of Elders of Yerevan», said Gayane Soghomonyan.
Within the frames of the event the pupils of the chool greeted those present with their performance. Then Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the RA First Lady Rita Sargsyan and the wife of the legendary investigator, Gohar Vardanyan familiarized themselves with the samples of the museum of Gevorg Vardanyan opened in the school.
