Kids from Yerevan municipal kindergartens learn to sort waste. The project is being implemented by Yerevan Municipality within the framework of the "Capital Cities collaborating on Common Challenges in Hazardous Waste Management – Yerevan, Warsaw, Tirana” project.
Kindergartens were provided with special game containers and cards, with the help of which children learn to distinguish and sort waste.
To test the acquired knowledge in practice, preschoolers visited different places where waste sorting containers are located. Accompanied by employees of the waste sorting department of the State Non-Commercial Organization “Landscaping and Environmental Protection”, the children sorted the collected waste.
The goal of the initiative is to instill in children a culture of waste sorting and reduce the amount of waste thrown into landfills, thereby contributing to the preservation of nature.
