The First deputy Mayor of Yerevan Levon Hovhannisyan had a meeting with the delegation of Lion, France consisting of the president of the Vocational Education Centre of Rhone (SEPR) Christian Drozi and General Director Veronique Furlan. The principal of the “France-Armenia Vocational Education Centre” in Yerevan Gohar Grigoryan was present at the meeting as well.
In June 2022, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Yerevan and Lyon according to which the parties agreed on active supporting the development programs of the “France-Armenia Vocational Education Centre”. The document makes it possible to improve the facilities of the building of the centre and to admit more young people to teach them practical skills and knowledge.
Levon Hovhannisyan, who is a member of the Board of Trustees of the educational centre, stressed that the Municipality and the Ministry of ESCS are ready to contribute to the implementation of joint projects.
Currently approximately 200 students are getting their vocational education at the centre.
The guests presented the new projects anticipated at the centre, in particular, the project of opening a new professional laboratory. The equipment of the centre is to be updated as well.
The parties arranged to carry on meetings to discuss implementation of joint ideas.
