The amount of precipitation has exceeded the norm, which has led to the accumulation of water in the city. The drainage systems maintained by the "Veolia Jur" company are in poor condition. Advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan reported that the Mayor's order has been fulfilled, which included studying the problem of reconstructing the practically non-existent drainage system and the existing, but dilapidated, system that cannot cope with rainwater discharge. The condition of the existing and out-of-order drainage systems in the courtyards of the administrative districts was also clarified.
It was noted that about 28 km of drainage systems were built during the construction of new roads. Kamo Areyan also noted that the problem had been discussed with the "Veolia Jur" company, and the company must improve its service. He also added that the proposal to reconsider the contract with the company was positively assessed.

Yerevan Municipality is taking steps to return the leased parks to the community. By the way, the park adjacent to the Komitas State Conservatory is also leased.
"This is one of the important issues that we need to resolve. Many green spaces and parks that were previously leased due to complex legal processes are in poor condition. Yerevan residents demand that we solve this problem, and we are up to it. I urge all the lessees who have left the gardens neglected to simply come of their own free will and terminate their contracts, because this will happen sooner or later. We will solve the problem that is set before us. When it comes to public interests, there can be no legal justification for irresponsibility, - Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized.
