On World Animal Day, schoolchildren visited the Animal Care Center to learn the rules on how to care for dogs, to feed them and to play with them.
This year alone, the center, which operates under Yerevan Municipality, has accepted 3,869 stray dogs.
2,669 dogs have been sterilized and vaccinated, 612 dogs have been revaccinated, and 99 stray animals have been fostered and adopted.
Educational campaigns are regularly organized in community schools, due to which the desire to adopt stray animals is increasing, especially among children.
At the same time, Yerevan Municipality continues to build separate parks for dogs. In recent years, 6 parks have been built.
