The 5th memorial tournament of Greco-Roman style wrestling after Benur Pashayan hosted 110 sportsmen from 6 countries. The competition was held by Yerevan Municipality and the Wrestling Federation of Armenia. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan was present at the final of the tournament.
In his greeting speech Yerevan Mayor wished the sportsmen stamina, persistence in achieving goals, worthwhile opponents, and glorious victories. The representatives of Armenia achieved 5 gold medals.
The winners are Karen Aslanyan (63 kg), Slavik Galstyan (67 kg), Malkhas Simonyan (77kg), Hayk Melikyan (72kg) and Vigen Nazaryan (87 kg). Silver medalists are Gevorg Gharibyan and Shant Khachatryan.
