The First Deputy Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan had a meeting with the IT consultant of the Microsoft Central and Easter Europe “Smart city” initiative Fred Sitbon. The solutions for the “Smart city” concept worked out by Microsoft which were successfully installed in different countries and include such possibilities as call service centre, mobile apps, individual digital assistant and so on, were presented during the meeting.
Hrachya Sargsyan informed that today Yerevan Municipality takes actions towards developing the “Smart city” concept which will become a practical program to ensure “smart” solutions in various spheres of urban economy.
“We are happy to state that we have the same vision of the “Smart city” concept and that today Yerevan can keep up with the world development”, said the First Deputy Mayor and stressed that Yerevan Municipality attaches importance to any collaboration proposal.
Outlining the use of modern technologies in successful management of urban economy, Fred Sitbon noted that the company attaches importance to cooperation establishment with Yerevan Municipality and is ready to present its proposals related to the “Smart city” concept.
The parties made an agreement to discuss the cooperation directions in near future and come up with a firm strategy related to Yerevan.
