During the regular working meeting in the City Hall which was chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan it was reported that preparations had been mainly over in all schools and pre-schooling establishments.
In particular, technical check-ups of the systems of energy,gas and water supply were carried out in all educational establishments. Corresponding road marking was also made in the areas adjacent to schools. At the Mayor’s instruction the month of safe traffic has been announced. Strengthened guard is to be set jointly with the Road police in the areas adjacent to educational establishments. Taking into account that in the beginning of September the traffic is usually heavy it was instructed to take appropriate measures to ensure proper transport working and passenger movement.
The head of Health Department of the Municipality reported that the first aid rooms in all educational establishments had been replenished with necessary medications. The head of General Education Department reported that appropriate measures had been taken to provide the pupils of elementary schools subordinated to Yerevan Municipality with free school books.
