Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia H.E. Mr Olivier Decottignies. Greeting the guest the Mayor outlined particular importance of the cooperation established with the International Association of French-speaking Mayors (AIMF) and of the joint programs within the scope of the Decentralized Cooperation, which are being implemented with the partner cities Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Nice and Ile-de-France district.
Presenting all initiated reforms in the spheres of public transport, digitalization aimed at making Yerevan a smart city, and urban development, Tigran Avinyan marked that Yerevan Municipality is ready to expand cooperation and experience exchange programs with French cities including new directions.
Ambassador Decottingnies in his turn marked that France is interested in showing support to Armenia and developing cooperation in various spheres. In particular, the Ambassador outlined the projects of investment interest.
Referring to business circles Mayor Avinyan attached importance to the possible participation of French companies in various projects of Yerevan Municipality and stressed that the community is open for collaboration with all organizations and individuals who wish to have their beneficial investment in Yerevan.
