Within the scope of the festive events of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799” the ceremony of opening of “Yerevan in painting” exhibition was held in the foyer of Yerevan City Hall. Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony.The paintings depicting the capital in the 30-90s in pink tufa are displayed at the exhibition. The organizrs noted that the paintings by Martiros Saryan, Panos Terlemezyan, Khachatru Yesayan, Gabriel Gyurjyan, Armen Chilingaryan, Parsam Simonyan, Meruzhan Harutyunyan, Vladimir Sahakyan, Gevorg Khanaghyan, Hamazasp Sahakyan, Guros, Yeghishe Martikyan, Levon Tonakanyan and Yesai Minasyan are kept in Yerevan History Museum and are exhibited for the first time.
Mayor Taron Margaryan also visited the gallery of Yerevan History Museum where was opened the exhibition of the paintings by modern painters depicting today’s Yerevan.
