Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan welcomed the delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi (Georgia) Irakli Lekvinadze arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799” celebration.

Greeting the guests and having thanked for the visit the Mayor expressed hope that the guests arrived from Georgia would get the possibility to enjoy the warm and festive mood of Yerevan. referring to the cooperation between the two cities Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that Yerevan Municipality attaches importance to cooperation expansion with Tbilisi in various spheres of urban economy.
“ I am sure that with our joint efforts we’ll be able to activate the ties and carry out mutually beneficial programs for the wellbeing of the residents of the two capital”,stressed Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Lekvinadze conveyed Mayor Taron Margaryan the congratulations and cordial greetings of Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania on the event of ‘Erebuni-Yerevan” celebration. Related to business ties between the capitals Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi stressed that the centuries-old friendship between Armenians and Georgians is a good basis for strengthening and expanding the cooperation between Yerevan and Tbilisi.
“Mister Mayor, Yerevan is not only a reliable partner for us, but a dear friend as well. We are happy to be in Yerevan and celebrate together with you the City Day which has rich cultural traditions and 2799-year history. We are impressed with the festive look and atmosphere of Yerevan and are trying to take part in the main events and to enjoy the day together with Yerevanians”, said the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi.
Conveying his warm greetings to the Mayor of Tbilisi Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan invited the delegation of Tbilisi to visit Yerevan next year and participate in the celebration of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation.
