Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of the French commune of Plessis-Robison Corinne Mare Dugue arrived in Yerevan to take part in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799” celebration. Greeting the guests Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude for the visit and participation in the events dedicated to Yerevan Day. Stressing the particular importance to cooperation of 12 administrative districts of Yerevan with the cities of other countries Yerevan Mayor noted that this visit is one more good opportunity to strengthen bilateral partnership.
“From year to year Yerevan Municipality is expanding cooperation program with its sister and partner cities and within the frames of these programs not only mutually beneficial projects are carried out but the ties with the Armenian communities of these cities and capitals are strengthened as well. I have always outlined the importance of cooperation of 12 administrative districts of Yerevan with the cities and towns of other countries and I am pleased with the fact of tight friendly and business relationship between Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan and Plessis-Robinson. I am sure that you will have the opportunity to enjoy the warmth and festive mood of Yerevan”, stressed the Mayor of the capital.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome Deputy Mayor of the French commune Plessis-Robinson Corinne Mare Dugue in her turn attached importance to Yerevan Mayor’s willingness to strengthen the partner ties and noted that it is one of the most important conditions to pass the cooperation established between Arabkir administrative district and Plessis-Robinson to practical phase.
“Mister Mayor, it is my 16th visit to Yerevan and must assure you that I am delighted to be in your city. Once again I’d like to outline that during each of my visits to Yerevan I notice development of the cit and this fact impresses greatly. From this point of view it is highly important to establish partnership with Yerevan in some spheres and to exchange successful experience”, said Corinne Mare Dugue.
During the meeting, taking the opportunity Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan invited the members of Plessis-Robinson delegation to visit Yerevan again next year and to take part in the celebration of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan.
