The Mayor of Plessis-Robinson Phillipe Pemezec who arrived in Yerevan to take part in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2797” celebration met with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan. Greeting his colleague Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation to participate in the festive events dedicated to Yerevan’s day. Stressing the importance of cooperation of the 12 administrative districts of the capital with the cities and towns of different countries, Yerevan Mayor thanked his colleague from Plessis-Robinson for the willingness to cooperate.
“From year to year Yerevan Municipality expands the programs of cooperation with its sister and partner cities, within the frames of which not only mutually beneficial projects are implemented but the ties with the Armenian communities of those cities and capitals are strengthened as well. I am sure that we have been able to pass you the warm festive mood of Yerevan. I assure you that our ancient capital and its residents are always hospitable”, said the Mayor.
Having thanked for warm welcome and the invitation the Mayor of Plessis-Robinson Phillippe Pemezec noted that he was impressed with the celebration and fascinated with people’s enthusiasm.
“The warmness and kindness we felt on these days in your capital are worth admiration, Mister Mayor. Most of all I have been inspired with the fact that the high mood reigned in the capital till late at night and the townspeople were enjoying the events. It was the best proof that this festival is a long-expected and beloved festival for townspeople. It’s very important for us to have a partner like Yerevan as it can teach us a lot”, stressed Phillippe Pemezec adding that the Armenian community of Plessis-Robinson has its important role in the development of the city.
