Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Leonid Pechatnikov which arrived in Yerevan to take part in the celebration of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2797”. The leader of the representation of Yerevan Municipality in Moscow Makar Nahapetyan was present at the meeting too.
Highly appreciating the tight friendly relations and partnership between the two peoples Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of strengthening and expansion of bilateral relations and outlined that the cooperation program signed for 2014-2016 between the executive bodies of the two capital during Yerevan Days in Moscow in 2013, has given new opportunities for cooperation.
“Moscow is a reliable partner for Yerevan and we highly appreciate the efforts of Moscow Government aimed at cooperation expansion between the two capitals. Taking into account our successful program cooperation of the recent years we should work to expand and develop it. I am sure that the formed working atmosphere will go on developing ensuring continuation of the joint programs”, said the Mayor.
Having thanked for warm reception the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Leonid Pechatnikov first of all conveyed the warm greetings and congratulations on Yerevan’s day of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin to Taron Margaryan, stressing that Moscow highly appreciates the cooperation with Yerevan and assured that the activities aimed at cooperation expansion will be long-term.
“The Armenian-Russian friendship has a long history. That’s why our relations are not just a partnership but a real friendship. And we are also sure, Mister Mayor, that our partnership will gradually develop and the cooperation directions will expand”, said Leonid Pechatnikov.
