Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the delegation of Qazvin, Iran

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the delegation of Qazvin city of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the vice Governor of Qazvin Ayub Rahimi. Greeting the guests the Mayor thanked them for accepting the invitation to take part in the city day and particularly stressing the centuries-old friendship of Armenia and Iran and the present high level of cooperation pointed out that the friendly ties between Yerevan and its partner cities of Iran are warm and the cooperation with the bodies of local self-government is effective.
«Last year on these days we signed the Memorandum on Understanding between Yerevan and Qazvin within the frames of which we develop bilateral cooperation. It should be noted that the interaction between our peoples is very important from the point of view of recognizing each other, national traditions and culture. Within our powers we should expand the cooperation for the well being of the population of our cities», said Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulating Yerevan Mayor of the city day Ayub Rahimi in his turn assured that everything possible will be done to strengthen and expand the cooperation between Yerevan and Qazvin.
«Bilateral cooperation is important and we do our best to strengthen the ties. It's a pleasure for me, Mister Mayor, to be in Yerevan on these days and taking the opportunity I would like to congratulate all the residents of Yerevan on the city day», said the vice Governor.
