Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the members of the delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of Arnouville (France) Nectar Balyan arrived in Yerevan to participate in the celebration of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799”. Greeting the guests and expressing gratitude for the visit Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that Yerevan attaches particular importance to strengthening the friendly and partner relationship with the French sister and partner cities, to development of bilateral projects and cooperation in various spheres.

“Presently, Yerevan carries out mutually beneficial cooperation with the capital of France and other French cities. In this context partnership was established between Nubarashen administrative district of Yerevan and the French city of Arnouville. Our compatriots have their contribution to strengthening the cooperation and I am very glad that the delegation of Arnouville also involves representatives of the Armenian community of Arnouville”, said the Mayor of Yerevan and expressed confidence that the guests will enjoy the warmth and hospitality of Yerevan and will take part in the festive events.
Having thanked for the invitation and warm welcome the Deputy Mayor of Arnouville Nectar Balyan congratulated Taron Margaryan and all Yerevanians on the City Day and noted that Yerevan which has almost three-thousand-year history is really a warm and hospitable city.
“Mister Mayor, I am very glad to be in the capital with centuries-old rich history which is already 2799 years old. I see big potential for our cooperation and taking into account the centuries-old friendship of Armenian and French people we must give a new impulse to our relationship”, said Nectar Balyan adding that she is impressed with the festive decoration of Yerevan. She also stressed that she is going to be present at all festive events and to become their participant.
During the meeting, taking the opportunity Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan invited the members of Arnouville delegation to visit Yerevan next year and participate in the celebration of ‘Erebuni-Yerevan 2800”.
