Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the delegation headed by the first Deputy Mayor of the commune of Draguignan (France) Primozelli Christine arrived in Yerevan to take part in the festive events dedicated to “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799”. Greeting the guests Mayor Taron Margaryan thanked for the visit and expressed confidence that this visit will also have positive influence on strengthening and expansion of partnership between Malatia Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan and Draguignan commune.

“From year to year Yerevan Municipality expands the cooperation programs with sister and partner cities. As a result, mutually beneficial programs are carried out and the ties with the Armenian communities of these cities are strengthened. The presence of the Armenian community in the staff of Draguignan delegation witnesses it best of all. We also attach importance to the cooperation of 12 administrative districts of the capital with the cities of other countries. In this context, in the March of this year the Charter of Friendship was signed between Malatia Sebastia district of Yerevan and Draguignan commune, which will strengthen bilateral interaction”, said Taron Margaryan.
The First Deputy Mayor of Draguignan Primozelly Christine in her turn expressed gratitude for the welcome and congratulated Yerevan Mayor on the City Day, stressing that it is another opportunity to discuss the programs of cooperation.
“Mister Mayor, I am also sure that soon we will expand the frames of cooperation and give a new impulse to bilateral interaction. I would also like to outline that we are impressed with the festive atmosphere of your warm and hospitable city. It is very pleasant to become a direct participant of this holiday”, said Primozelly Christine.
Expressing gratitude for warm words Mayor Taron Margaryan invited the members of Draguignan commune delegation to visit Yerevan next year together with the head of the commune to take part in the events dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation.
