Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marityan hosted the Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg Anna Mityanin who arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2800” celebration. Expressing gratitude for accepting the invitation and participating in the events dedicated to Yerevan Day, Mayor Hayk Marutyan noted that it is a good opportunity to discuss the process of implementation of already established programs and to outline further plans.
“I know that numerous programs have been implemented in different fields of urban economy within the scope of the cooperation established between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg. I also attach particular importance to practical cooperation in the sphere of health care, particularly in the direction of experience exchange programs related to modernization of policlinics. Be sure that I am ready to contribute to strengthening and development of the friendly and partners ties”, said Hayk Marutyan and asked the Vice-Governor to convey his gratitude to the acting Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov for his congratulations and warm wishes on his being elected Yerevan Mayor.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome the Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg Anna Mityanina congratulated Hayk Marutyan on his taking the office of Yerevan Mayor and wished him success in his mission. Saint Petersburg Vice-Governor stressed that the potential of the relationship between the parties obviously has wide perspectives for development.
“Mr Mayor, the delegation of Saint Petersburg always takes pleasure of participating in the celebration of Yerevan Day. I am sure that this year we will return to Saint Petersburg taking with us the warmth of 2800-year-old Yerevan. Yerevan is actually a reliable partner for the northern capital of the RF, and I am sure that consistent steps will be taken to make the relationship established between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg more effective and practical in the future”, said Anna Mityanina.
During the meeting the parties discussed the possible perspectives of cooperation in the spheres of commerce and economics and investments.
