17.09.2025

A multifunctional recreation zone will be developed in the Hrazdan Gorge, covering about 3,480 square meters in the Arabkir administrative district. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, reviewed the project on site. Funded by the Government of Armenia, the project encompasses designated area for children’s activities and sports, an open-air cinema, green landscaping, and distinctive architectural and landscape solutions. Retaining walls will be reconstructed, two waterfalls along the river will be revitalized, and a bridge connecting to the opposite sidewalk will be constructed. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to contribute to the ecological restoration of the surrounding area. The project aims to foster sustainable and modern development, given the multi-layered heritage of the Hrazdan Gorge. The project was designed by the "Storaket" architectural studio.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan also visited the well-known "Bidzu Gyol" sports area in the Hrazdan Gorge to observe recent improvements. The project was implemented by the Kentron administrative district in collaboration with "Eve Capital." Better conditions were created for Yerevan residents who train in the area. The swimming pool has been refurbished, new changing rooms have been constructed, and outdoor training equipment has been restored. Additionally, the workout zone has been covered with rubber surfacing.
The completed and upcoming projects in the gorge will promote an active sports lifestyle in Yerevan.
